Gerdien van Halteren, more commonly known as GARY, is a visual artist living and working in Amsterdam. Rooted in personal experience, her work challenges taboos around sexuality, gender and identity and is characterised by colourful subjects that exist in a surreal universe amidst real life and a digital dreamscape.
